Why 4am?

Because that's when the real games happen. After the karaoke dies down, after the last plate of pancit, somebody says "isa pa" and suddenly it's sunrise. 4AM Tiles is that energy, in your browser.

What this is

A free, single-player Filipino Mahjong game you can play instantly — no app store, no account, no ads. You play against three bots with very different ideas about how mahjong should be played. An iOS app is in the works; the web game is where the rules get proven and the community gets started.

The rules we use

Filipino Mahjong has regional house rules everywhere. We play the standard 16-tile game: five sets and a pair to win, flowers as bonus tiles, chow/pong/kong calls, and simple point scoring. The full rule set is documented on the How to Play page.
